Reverse Mortgages

A Reverse Mortgage is a special loan that enables you to convert the equity in your home into cash – without a monthly payment obligation. And, the ownership of your home always remains in your name. No repayment is required until the surviving borrower no longer occupies the home.

There are plenty of advantages of a Reverse Mortgage:

  • You get to choose how you receive your funds. Choose to receive monthly payments, a line of credit, a lump sum, or a combination of the three.
  • There are no limits on how you use the cash. It's yours to use as you see fit – groceries, bills, retirement expenses, it's your choice.
  • And, there are no restrictive income qualifications.

For more information on Reverse Mortgages and the new 2009 Reverse Mortgage loan limit, contact us at (719) 574-1100 x 5602 or toll-free at 800-525-9623 x 5602.

Credit Union and Government Mortgage Assistance Programs

  • Mortgage Loan Modifications
Credit Unions have joined together to offer members a Homeowners Affordability Relief Program (HARP). This program is intended to help homeowners who face delinquency, default, or foreclosure on their mortgages, especially in a time of diminished home prices.

You may also be aware of the government’s Making Home Affordable Program, also referred to as HASP. For more information on this program and to determine if you may be eligible to modify your loan due to a financial hardship, please visit makinghomeaffordable.gov This is a third party link. Please see disclosure below..

If you need this type of assistance through HASP or the credit union HARP initiative, because of a financial hardship, please contact Ent's Member Solutions Department at (719) 574-1100 ext. 5612 or 800-525-9623 ext. 5612.

  • Mortgage Loan Refinancing
Under HASP, you may be able to refinance your mortgage if you would otherwise be ineligible because of declining home values. You should know that most of the mortgage loans Ent makes are held by Ent and are not eligible for the refinance portion of HASP; only loans currently owned or guaranteed by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac are eligible.

However, if your loan is owned or guaranteed by Fannie Mae through another lender, you may be able to refinance through Ent. To determine if you are eligible to refinance your loan through Ent, you can visit loanlookup.fanniemae.com This is a third party link. Please see disclosure below.. Please contact a Mortgage Loan Officer at (719) 574-1100 ext. 5602 or 800-525-9623 ext. 5602. for further assistance.

Please Note: Loans owned or guaranteed by Freddie Mac are not eligible for the refinance relief through Ent.

Standard credit qualifications apply. All loans are subject to final credit approval. Please consult your tax advisor, as interest paid on these loans usually is tax-deductible.
