The difference between these types of encryption is one of capability. 128-bit "high" or "strong" encryption is exponentially more powerful than 40-bit or 56-bit standard encryption. Think of it this way:
    • Standard encryption (40-bit or 56-bit) – means there are 240 or 256 possible keys that could fit into the lock that holds your account information but only one that works for each Online Banking session. So there are many billions of possible keys that could potentially get to your account information – but only one that works each time you bank online.
    • "High" or "strong" encryption (128-bit) – means there are 2128 (if you were to write the number down it would be 3.4 with 38 zeroes after it) possible keys that could fit into the lock that holds your account information, but only one that works for each Online Banking session. 128 bit encryption is a septillion times more secure than any other product. So a hacker attempting to get to your account information would need to use a whole serious of super computers connected together working for several years in order to find the one key to your 20 minute banking session.

Which view is the default? Will the Online Banking system remember the view I pick?
Your default view will be the view you used during your last visit. You may change your view at any time by clicking on the view description located beneath the menu at the top of the page.

Why is Ent offering two views?
Ent offers two views of the "Summary" page to meet the individual preferences of our members. Some may want to do everything on one page, while others may prefer an overview.

This regulation sets uniform requirements for financial institutions which offer transaction accounts. Reserves are normally maintained in the form of cash on hand and deposits at the Federal Reserve Bank. Transaction accounts include Share Draft accounts and accounts which allow pre-authorized or telephone transfers such as Share Savings or Money Market accounts, if you have made more than 6 transfers (up to 3 by Check , Debit Card, or through Online Banking) within a month. Transfers under this restriction do not include those made to pay loans at the credit union, initiated by mail, ATM,or in person.

We believe that Challenge questions are the least intrusive "multi-factor authentication" which Federal regulation mandates all banks and credit unions support or have in place by the end of 2006. The use of this feature adds an additional layer of protection to your account(s) when you access them online at Ent.

Federal regulations do not allow individual members to opt out of this security feature.
