Fifty-four local non-profit organizations applied for the 2009 Colorado Springs YES grants; the credit union also received 13 applications from Pueblo non-profits for Ent’s Pueblo YES grant program. Pueblo YES grant recipients will be announced next week.

Applications were evaluated by a panel of volunteer Ent employees on their general benefit to the community, potential ability to use the Ent grant to obtain additional funds and degree of current community support, among other criteria.

According to Jim Moore, senior vice president of Ent, "Our mission as a credit union is not only to provide financial products and services to our members but also to support the human needs of the community. We are proud that our YES grants are able to help support those that provide vital services to our youth."
